FREELANCE WRITER
We are looking for regular contributors to provide engaging, credible web content for articles, quizzes, Top 10 lists, photo galleries and more. Writers must be experienced and should be equipped to parlay their interests into witty, inspiring and expertly researched articles for our website. No fluff. No flack -- just timely, consumer-focused ideas that become invaluable resources for our growing body of female readers. We're looking for writers who can write in the true voice of SheKnows and connect with our readers, someone who speaks to the regular woman, the super mom, the career gal, women just like you and me.
Basic requirements for freelance writers:
* Writers are required to follow and meet expectations outlined within the SheKnows StyleGuide
* Must be able to demonstrate experience with online content writing (testing required)
* Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of SEO best practices (testing required)
* Writers must be capable of regular monthly assignments delivered in bulk
Content details:
* Article length between 350-500 words
* Average 5-day turn-around time for assignments required
* Topics are based on specific assignments from SheKnows editors; pitches are not accepted

ONLINE CONTENT FORMATTING EDITOR
We are currently seeking an online formatting editor to input content into our custom content management system, format it according to our SheKnows StyleGuide and add interactive elements according to best web practices.
Basic formatting work involves:
* Adding subheads, adjusting spacing and content format for optimized display on our website
* Adding images and feature-style sidebars/tables
* Embedding videos, polls and other interactive elements.
This position is ideal for a motivated, self-directing contractor who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and has experience working in an online content management system. Basic knowledge of HTML required.
This right candidate for formatting will receive regular, ongoing work from SheKnows; rates are determined by SheKnows Editors.

COPY EDITOR
Last but not least, we are in search of an experienced copy editor to add to our editorial team. The ideal candidate should be a true word nerd and should demonstrate a passion for well-written, consistent copy and formatting. Experience working with online content and knowledge of SEO best practices is required. This person should also enjoy receiving compliments but never complements. Average article length is 350-500 words and requested response time is an average of 24-48 hours.
Basic requirements for online copy editor:
* Enforce SheKnows StyleGuide specifications in all pending content
* Must be able to complete copy editing content within windows of 24-48 hours.
* Must be able to demonstrate experience with online content copy editing (testing required)
* Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of SEO best practices (testing required)
* Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in grammar, style, punctuation and spelling
The SheKnows copy editor will receive regular, ongoing work from SheKnows; rates are determined by SheKnows Editors.
